The tour begins as our professional tour representative picks you up from your hotel to tour you around downtown Yangon. Yangon had been under the British rule for nearly 100 years which is why the city is filled with colonial architecture. As you tour around the city, you will be greeted with a pleasing British era atmosphere while you observe the vibrant daily lives of the locals. After strolling downtown, you will now visit one of the most popular tourist spots in Yangon – Chauk Htet Gyi, also known as the colossal reclining Buddha. Next on your list would be a relaxing ride along Kandawgyi garden. You can drop by the garden to take photos with gracious Hansa birds and picturesque scenery for your background. Feel free to stroll along the lake to enjoy the tranquil environment.
In this tour, you will also visit the mausoleum of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last emperor of Mughal. During this visit, you will learn more about the history of the exiled emperor and his family during the British colonial era. Before your Yangon tour ends, you will also stop by Shwedagon Pagoda and marvel over its spectacular ancient architecture. Its one-of-a-kind shape and gleaming gold structure is truly one for the books! In the evening, you will return back to your hotel.
