The arts and crafts tour begins at the gold leaf tapestry and marionette workshop in Mandalay. Learn and observe how intricate details are made and crafted by local artisans. You will then proceed to another workshop which features stone carving and sculpting. Before having lunch, you will first drop by Mahamyatmuni pagoda to visit this sacred pilgrimage site and appreciate its one-of-a-kind architecture.
After a scrumptious lunch, you will now head to Sagaing to visit several handicraft workshops including silversmith, pottery and rattan products. Learn and observe how these authentically local products are made and carefully crafted. In the afternoon, you will return to Mandalay and make a stopover in a loom-weaving silk workshop in the area. For the last part of your tour, you can saunter along U-Bein bridge as you watch the sunset. U-Bein is the longest wooden bridge of its kind so it’s definitely worth a visit. As the sun fully sets, you will now head back to your hotel.
