The tour begins at around 8AM where our professional tour guide will meet you up at your hotel. You will then proceed on a 3-hour boat ride heading to Sagar. During the scenic boat ride, you can enjoy a gorgeous panoramic view of Inle lake and the mountains that surround it.
As you arrive in Sagar, you will first stroll along the narrow path to Thapyay-gone village wherein you can go around and learn more about the daily way of life of the locals. You will also get a chance to observe their authentic rice wine distillery. After you tour around the village, you will now greet the experience of a lifetime as you visit the monastery and 108 ancient stupas built in the 16th to 17th century. What’s unique about these ancient stupas is that they sunk underwater once every year during monsoon. After the series of morning activities, you will be served with lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Sae Kaung village to stroll around and observe their local pottery. You will then continue to explore more of the villages in the area and return to the jetty wherein you’ll go for a boat ride back to your hotel.
