From Mandalay, you will be transported to Sagaing by car as you drive across the bridge over Irrawaddy River. As you approach Sagaing, you will see Ivory-colored pagodas lining up along the hills. You will get a chance to do an in-depth tour to the most popular ancient pagodas in Sagaing including Suan Oo Pon Nya Shin, Oo Min Thone Se and Shwe Taung Oo Maw pagodas. You will also stop by the local market to check out souvenirs and locally-produced products that can definitely remark your visit. In addition, we will also take you to a traditional pottery village wherein water pots and trades across the country are made.
Next on your itinerary would be a ferry ride across Myit Nge river to be followed by a ride in a horse-drawn cart heading to Bagaya Monastery. Bagaya Monastery is famous for its elaborate woodcarvings and intricate architecture. You will also get a glimpse of the Nanmyin Watchtower also known as the “Leaning Tower of Ava”. Enjoy a peaceful horse-cart ride as you explore green boulevards of the town.
The last activating for this tour would be crossing the longest wooden bridge known as U Bein bridge. It measures up to 1.2km long which is why it is definitely a sight to check out during your tour. Take wondrous photos and interact with the locals as you get a full view of the sunset. As the tour comes to an end, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
